eBay to retire Marketplace Research tool – Terapeak to take over!

Terapeak users, we couldn’t have done it without you!

As of yesterday, August 18th, eBay has discontinued its own Marketplace Research tool, and, in its place, is offering ours! This marks a huge, exciting, watershed moment for Terapeak, and to celebrate we’re offering year-long subscriptions at a discount rate of 60% off — that works out to just $9.99 per month! It’s a limited-time offer, and it’s our way of thanking each and every one of you for your support.

High fives all around — we could not have achieved this without you!

I would prefer to be able to search all the available sites at once rather than have to go thru each site one by one

  2. terapeak Says:

Currently Terapeak does separate the data country by country.
I’ve made a note of your request and it will be passed to our programmers as the develop new tools.

    Thank you for the note!

  3. Nerada Says:

Can you also ask the programmers to add a filter so we can search by item condition i.e. new only

  4. Dustin Jones Says:

Nice! Graphical interface is great. Features a titanium powerseller needs to be perfect tool

    1) Graphs – Show multiple line graphs at one time to show trends instead of only 1 showing.

    2) Copy hammertaps keyword feature – Terapeak’s does not come close to keyword data that hammer tap provides. With these new policies of 1 similar listing per page, this tool is a must.

My only arguments! I use both hammertap and terapeak but would love to just use ONE tool even if I had to pay a little more.

LOVE the competitor/seller tool that NO ONE else offers (hammertap says its not possible lol)

Im sure you guys will thrive off marketplace research being gone! Thanks and look forward to more powerful updates in the future.

That’s great news.Terapeak has been one of my best investments,it
helps me to know what’s hot and what’s not.I am a newbie at selling,
since I’ve been using Terapeak, things are much better.I am much better at finding products that WILL sell. Thanks Teraeak!

  6. Bruce Says:

Ever since eBay live I have made more money on each listing by using Terapeak. I figured ebay marketplace research would soon fall once I saw that there research was so far behind Terapeak. Thanks and I also would like all the sites researched on one click. Thanks

  7. Scott Pooler Says:

Will this year long discount be offered to existing users?

  8. Danny Says:

How about keyword searches? I used ebay marketplace research in order to find good keywords for my listings? Do you have a similar type service?

  9. Andy Geldman Says:

    Fantastic news!

I was very disappointed with eBay Marketplace Research – Terapeak’s product is far superior.

  10. terapeak Says:

Nerada – sure thing – check out the filters on the left hand side of the report, there will be an option there for you!

Thank you everyone else for the kind words, we’re all very proud of Terapeak!

  11. Kenmaster Says:

I believe the reports will be much more pratcical if the report generator count item sold price + shipping together, not only the sold price.

As an international seller, I will be more happy if there is a filter for item location.

  12. Mark Says:

It is CRITICAL to me that I can paint price distribution and number of items sold distribution on the same screen. I love doing that in EMR and it’s how I find the sweet spots for pricing. Are you going to add that? I love how in EMR you can filter what you want to see, then have TWO dropdown menus to paint some aspect vs some other aspect. It is GREAT please add the same capability.

  13. terapeak Says:

    Hi Mark,
I’m not following your request exactly, so i have forwarded your info to our support dept so that they may follow up with you directly.
    Thanks!

    Kenmaster,
Thank you for the suggestion, we have been looking into different ways of incorporating this. With any new info, we must first attain the data and then build it in. Please keep an eye on the blog or the site for changes.

    Best to all,

  14. Ian Says:

It Terapeak updated in real time as market place research was. I have been trying it all day to input todays date, but the latest date I can use is 5 days old. Everything else seem’s okay.

  15. terapeak Says:

    Hi Ian,

We receive data from eBay on a slight delay (2-4 days) which allows for the cleaning and re-organization of the data. We are always working on a way of eBay sending the data to us more quickly, but I have no updates on that at this time.

Thank you for your interest, know that we are constantly working on improving the site.

    Best,
    Denise

  16. Digitalexpressline Says:

  17. terapeak Says:

    HI Gib,

Please contact our support department at support@terapeak.com. They will need to review your account to make sure the payment was processed and they will double check your password, etc. They can help you out.

    Take care!

So I tried to upgrade my monthly subscription to the year sub (special deal, right?) and was told it would be $197/year.

That was not the droid…er, deal I was looking for.

So I guess the answer is “it’s a special deal for NEW terapeak customers and the rest of you are SOL.”

I think your marketing is just a tiny bit deceptive here.

  19. terapeak Says:

    Hi Fluffy,

I like your reference. The Star Wars nerds here…I mean…fans…will appreciate.

Our yearly subscription sale ended October the 15th. The special was open and available to all users (new and otherwise) for a limited time offer.

Thank you for the note, and opportunity to send the word out about the sale.

I’m glad I found your blog, there are some really useful tools here.

    Thanks

  21. Adrian Conway Says:

    Hi,

I’ve been using Sellathon for eBay research for a while but for past fe months their programmers have just not sorted out all the problems they’ve had since eBay changed how data is refereced…so it’s virtually useless to me now and looking to cancel my subscription.

I’m very interested in the All sites (6) Terapeak research package. Are there any promotions right now or coming up soon? $335 is still quite a lot!

    Thanks,

    Adrian

  22. terapeak Says:

    Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your comment, and for your interest in Terapeak. If the annual fee is too much for you currently, perhaps try subscribing on a monthly basis to see how Terapeak affects your sales. The Terapeak tool is known to improve eBay sellers’ sales by 80% or more, so it might be worth checking out!

    Thanks again.

    Hal
