Not too long ago, we announced that Japanese eBay service provider 500RPM would be launching a locally-translated Terapeak tool for Japan-based sellers…

Today, we’re happy to announce that the site is already up and running!

The Japan team has done a great job getting the site together, and we encourage you to go check it out. There’s even a pretty cool welcome video halfway down, featuring AERS/Terapeak’s very own CEO, Fred Speckeen.

The Terapeak team just got a bit more international!

We’re very excited today to announce a brand new partnership with 500RPM, a Japanese service provider for Japan-based eBay sellers. Known predominately for translation and eBay assistance solutions, 500RPM will soon provide a locally-translated Terapeak tool, along with a dedicated, Japan-based support team.

As you’re well aware by now, we place a lot of importance on global brand representation, and we constantly stress the value of branching out into international markets. Now, with the introduction of “Terapeak Japan,” Terapeak is available locally in six countries: USA, Canada, France, Germany, China and Japan!

Of course, this exciting news complements a very international year for Terapeak: in June, we hosted our first international conference here in beautiful Victoria, and in July, founders Anthony and Andrew Sukow spoke at the G8 Young Business Summit in Stresa, Italy.

Again, we’re happy and proud to welcome the 500RPM folks to the Terapeak team, and we look forward to bringing you news from Terapeak Japan!

We’re pleased to announce that Terapeak’s first International Conference, which took place June 22-24 right here at Terapeak HQ in Victoria, was a major success.

The partners gathered for three days of intensive, productive meetings to discuss new and better ways of providing eBay marketplace research, as well as fine-tuning and streamlining the relationships between all Terapeak brands. Here at the company, we’ve always understood the need for a global perspective, and we feel particularly enlightened having shared all kinds of world views with our friends and business partners. As you can probably imagine, the markets in China and Germany, for example, are quite a bit different from our own in North America!

Of course, we wouldn’t have been good hosts if we hadn’t left time for some fun and team-building, and so a lot of great food was consumed, the lush west coast terrain explored — and hey, we even saw a few whales! (Actually closer to 50 if you can believe it.)

We’re excited now to move forward with this better understanding, to further refine these partnerships, and to provide you with the best Terapeak possible!

We’ll also try to post some pictures from the conference as soon as we find that camera…

Over the nearly seven years since Terapeak was first created, we’ve always been extremely proud to see growth in the product and its reach. Of course that doesn’t mean we’re ever satisfied, or that we aren’t always looking at better ways to serve our customers — but we do enjoy standing back every now and then and high-fiving about where we’re at.

Next Monday, we’ll be welcoming some of our international partners to Terapeak.com headquarters, and sitting down to discuss all kinds of ways to improve both the product and company. As you may or may not know, Terapeak has partner sites in China, France, and Germany, and in the same way it applies to many things in life (including selling on eBay, as we’ve told you about recently), we believe in striving for a truly global perspective. Hosting our international partners is a momentous occasion for us, and something we couldn’t be more excited about.

We hope to take a lot from these meetings, and to eventually share it with you! Of course, as always, we think it’s absolutely vital to also keep an open discussion with our client base, so feel free to share any comments or questions you may have yourself.

If you’re a Terapeak All-Sites subscriber, you may have noticed a new “International” tab in your Search menu this morning…

What that is is our brand new International search tool!

Basically, it’s a new report that allows you to search six eBay sites at once (US, UK, CAN, AUS, GER, FRA) and compare the sales of each in terms of Successful Listings, Sell-Through, Average Price, Buyer Country Sales Distribution, Seller Country Sales Distribution, and Transaction Site Sales Distribution. Click on the following screenshot for a closer look (a fourth pie chart is cut off at the bottom, but you get the point!):

Here at Terapeak, we’re excited about the possibilities and new found ease of optimizing which eBay site to sell on, as closing prices can vary quite drastically from country to country. Now, with this international arbitrage feature, one single search can show you which of the six sites offers the best venue for your product.

Again, this feature is available free of charge to anyone with an All-Sites subscription. And stay tuned in the coming days for more news and examples of how this new tool can be used!
